'Degrees of Enclosure’ follows the choreographed movements of a uniformly dressed set of characters through the Barbican estate. I worked with Adam Nathaniel Furman, architect and lecturer at the Architectural Association, to produce a voice-over for the film. The text reflects on the recognisable features of this famous landmark, whilst drawing attention to the recurring themes of its design and modernisation. The twenty five minute film celebrates the drama of both major and minor elements which give the building its identity.
